I changed my food too, and it changed my life. I used to think I was an emotional eater and a loser at dieting. Once I found what caused insatiable cravings (sugar, peanuts, nuts, soy products, seed oils, and anything sweet tasting, including stevia and diet soda's), eliminated them, and found the foods best for my body (high fat, and animal based foods) I healed in so many ways. It's true, we often blame ourselves or look for other explanations for our ailments, rather than see it as the foods we are choosing as the culprit. Once I chose high fat, moderate protein, and zero carb did everything change! Almost ten years in on this way of eating and at 64 I am my healthiest, no disease, and no medication! I look and feel amazing! YAY!

Great topic, it was very insightful. Everyone is different and I think the key is that you have to listen to your body what might work for you may not work for someone else. For me I have eliminated processed foods and eat more organic and it has improved my health

Wow!! Such great info!! Wonderful guest. I’m 60 and I’m so happy that finally the conversation is being had regarding menopause. As you said Dominique, we had no idea what was happening and was frustrating and scary. Now women will know what they’re up against. It’s not just hot flashes for Gods sake. Although they do suck lol. Thank you for providing a platform!! And speaking of God, that little bit about being raised catholic was like, wow, I was so grateful to hear I’m not the only one. I rarely give myself permission to do something for just me, but I’m getting better at it. And that was very affirming

you were happier then you have ever been this Summer, NOW you will be on Mt Everest with this new decision....to now live normal hours with hubby and able to travel on his adventures and Friday road trips to visit Styles and Holly. Enjoy the holidays as a NEWLYWED! Congrats! Great

Omg the Catholic guilt thing is real. If you study epigenetics, having a long line of it ancestrally it gets passed on and on like at a cellular & DNA level. I’ve spent the last decade deprogramming, reprogramming yet still staying close to Christ. My renewed personal relationship with Jesus and the holy family has been the most healing of all. But my chronic illness and functional/integrative health journey has been so similar to your guest’s. Gaslit by traditional docs, was on mattress island, couldn’t work, could barely climb stairs, and had been so healthy previously. Food as medicine worked for me. Great interview.
