Ep 77 South to Preveza - Plus Wendy Takes a Fall

As the 2018 season begins to wind down, we take two of our friends, Shawn and Deb, aboard for a short tour of the northern Greek Ionian islands and shoreline. We then head south for Preveza, where Talisman will eventually be hauled.

Glad wendy wasn't hurt, loved loved the video. Typical beautiful greece, you can have bad weather one day and then it always turns to the best sunny skies and deepest blue waters. Preveza is gorgeous. If you sail south i come from a small town with a huge port called katakolon. Very quiet this time of the year but bustling place in the summer months. Cheers guys enjoy my beautiful country wish i was there.😎😎

Greetings from London, commiserations to Wendy, an invocation for an electronic glitch. I've binge watched your channel. For reasons I cannot explain, I'm hooked on Kevin solving "unsolvable" problems. Knee-deep in wiring at Troon, or tracking the fault in your bilge pump, descaling the gen set, are "whatdunnits" that have me hooked. Now, I'm not suggesting ... well, I am really.

Did you guys eat out in Gaios? We had a yummy meal at Mambo. We also were amused to see all the taverna cats and (old) locals gathered in town for the fresh fish delivery. Biggest event of the day while we were there.

Great stuff, and the boat looks ship shape. Did you get new lines this season? Wish the sound was a little better, but I'm guessing that you do too. And Wendy's a goddamn trooper, we've all done something similar, but fortuneately don't have to relive it through the miracle of video!

Hope you make it to the Bahamas sometime, we have a place on Cat Island (Old Bight), would love to offer you a hot shower and cold Kalik if the timing meshes! Safe sailing.

Some great sailing in this vid. Kevin what is your best angle of attack (optimum) at say 15 knots on a beat can you get down to 34-33 degrees apparent? With Without losing boat speed? Just interested... Wendy bless you! Never let go of the line and the boat came first! Cid did the same many years ago in Eastbourne, UK. Went to step to the dock and caught her foot on the guard rails sending her into the drink at the bow. All the assembled yachties tried to pull her ashore. While trading water she handed them a line and shouted secure this line!! Everyday we increase our knowledge, passing that on is admirable, it inspires and entertains. Wendy is still graceful under pressure. She passed the line off as if it was planned. I hope Wendy didn’t feel the effects the next day. I was wondering if you mostly dock in marinas for convenience/accessibility or because you are limited to safe/comfortable anchorage’s? My observation could be wrong, just wondering about the area and your process of choosing? Thanks!
