Love it. It is difficult to climb that ladder of life, as some would shake the ladder and step on the heads when others try to climb. It was so beautiful when I recognized my strength, power of patience, calmness, peace, self-discipline, welcoming of new experiences, and my hunger for learning. Now in life, as I strive to continue to climb that ladder of life, I try my best to pull my sisters up with me. Thank you for sharing 🙋🏾‍♀️

Yes, I remember navigating Japan in the ‘80s and ‘90s as a Black woman and felt so much more appreciated and valued. I am returning for a visit soon for the first time in over 30 years. I love this post. I will post my experience as well.

Standing together is the big thing. It’s black people from the diaspora whom have seen enough, who can possibly show and help the Black Japanese understand pride within themselves……. Ourselves. You are God’s warrior…….. keep living your fulfilling life and dreams!!!

Yllah…Dropping gems all over in this one…I needed to hear this today as I drink my morning coffee in the states, getting ready to go to work…I pray for strength and humility…Thank you Yllah…You’re across the ocean blue but you touched my soul with your words…Sharon
