A case study on a math meme I found on the internet. Why does Drake prefer the square wheeled bike?

Is Papa Flammy going to bitch about you being a Math Daddy? (I want to know if I should be making popcorn.)

One time when I was learning about how the circle is x^2+y^2=1 I graphed the curves x^n+y^n=1 for n = 3 and 4 to see what it would look like and noticed that they were kind of flatter, but now it makes sense that they were approaching a square!

He prefers the 1-norm once the wheels make an 8th of a turn.

What have you released upon this unsuspecting and innocent earth 🤣

The problem with square wheels is the bumps. Triangular wheels only have 3 bumps so they are much better than square wheels.😁

This is brilliant from an entertainment point of view, but this also managed to explain me norms in a minute better than my prof, and let me tell you, I suck at set theory
Please, make more of these

Cool video! I am familiar with the norm of a vector, but wasn't aware that the norm's dimension (degree?) could be generalized to infinity like this. But it makes sense, after hearing you explain it.

Can you please make another video about the meaning of the square root symbol, but including in the case of the complex numbers? Because the standard definition of the sqrt, where sqrt(x^2) = |x| makes no sense, because sqrt(i^2)=|i| there for sqrt(-1) = 1, which makes no sense.

Thanks! I now have the power of knowledge in my hands!

"A norm is a function that assigns a length to the elements of a set."
Metrics that aren't norms: Bruh

If the 2 norm makes a flat plane, are the other norms some sort of curved space? I could be wrong but I’m pretty sure they’re not spherical or hyperbolic

Can someone who’s better than me at math explain the difference between a norm and a metric?

Yeah. Jargon-wise, the distance should be better called "Metric" rather than "Norm".

Why do you pronounce length like lenthh
