Jurors continue to hear testimony in the trial of a man accused of killing a mother of five nearly two years ago on Interstate 75.

Florida Highway Patrol troopers say Jeremy Guerrero was high on meth when he caused the crash near Big Bend Road that killed 57-year-old Maria Perez. Guerrero says he wasn't driving the car when it crashed. He says the apparent passenger in his car was actually driving.

FOX 13 Tampa Bay brings you the important videos like breaking news, Tampa Bay weather, and local stories. But also plenty of fun stuff, like 'We Live Here' tips, the best of our archives, and all those 'only-in-Florida' stories.

What happened to Mary?. I listen to this twice….no mention if Mary testified or she later succumbed. The defense is claiming she was driving, wouldn’t she be a witness……..too much is missing to determine hie innocence or guilt

Why am I not surprised that a criminal caught doing it wrong says he didn’t do it

Yeah, I heard the same story about an adult child driving while intoxicated crashed and switched to the passenger side seat and placed his dead friend’s body to the driver’s side so he don’t get blamed for his friend’s death 💀 all too common.

Is it possible that they could take just a few seconds to tell us what happened to Mary in this crash ? Also it is interesting that the guy went along with all the DUI tests but didn't assert that he wasn't the driver until in the police car..

I guess what we're not being told is whether Guerrero was already out of the car when police arrived. But there is a picture of someone else (Mary?) in the passenger seat at the scene.

The occupants would've been tossed around inside the car and air-bags are big and fill entire windshield.

Something stinks here. How could the DNA from blood on the air bags have been switched?

I'm sorry, how bad is it when you see the guy you're defending doesn't know how to wear a mask?.. I suppose not too bad when you see the prosecutor doesn't either... If I were the defense attorney I'd raise that point...

Okay so that's like super strange I mean it's not impossible. As far as DNA what kind of DNA was on the driver side? I mean if it's this supposed Mary's car you're going to find her DNA on the the steering wheel or in areas in the driver seat. I mean it makes sense it's her car. His DNA on the passenger side make sense as well, because the impact caused the airbags to blow and if the impact caused him to jerk to the right side, then it makes sense that the airbag would have his DNA. would be on the passenger side blood spatter is gonna move the direction the body shifts. So it really bases down to what type of DNA was found
