If you sit for too long, it'll break no matter how much/little you weigh or whether or not you actyally change positions. I'm 180 pounds, used it for 1.5 hours and it splayed out and broke everything. If it was aluminum with some steel parts, it would almost be perfect (at the expense of the extra weight from metal vs. Plastic, but at that point it would actually be useful)

I tried it and it takes a bit of finger power to rotate and extend it fully. It's also possible to pop off around the holder around the fingers. Idea - great. Usability - so-so.

I purchased two for wildlife/sports photography. Both broke. Apparently it common if you use them on uneven ground. You need a cushion after 30 minutes as they are uncomfortable. A great idea, hopefully the will get it right & if they do I will be buying another.

I just got mine and it's great, but be advised you need strong hands and arms to open it as shown. I have to use both feet holding one end and both arms pulling on the other end to open it. Closing it is easy.

i got mine an within 2 days of just using it for sitting it broke as u cant move around to change position on stool while sitting on it . dont buy unless u want to throw your money away

I've been interested in these chairs for quite a while. They certainly do seem to defy logic! Strangely, I was unable to find any safety info or consumer reports online. In reality, just how safe are these?
