The Strictly Report: Amanda Abbington & Giovanni Both Claim ‘Win’ | This Morning

Former Strictly pro Giovanni Pernice and former contestant Amanda Abbington both claim victory after the BBC revealed the findings into their investigation of bullying, harassment and physical aggression on the show.  The BBC has apologised to Amanda Abbington and upheld some of her complaints but cleared Giovanni of the most serious allegations.

Competition + hyper sensitivity + lack of cultural understanding = exaggerated claims. Thank goodness Gio got another job. Shame he had to leave the uk.
I would not say that Amanda was vindicated. I’d say it just showed her hyper sensitivity. Hope she continues to get support but I’d be afraid to work with her - male or female - and would always want someone else in the room

It is not surprising that those who work for ITV are going to have a go at the BBC….it is revelry….not just with the contestants but with the television stations….what else can you expect….regardless it is a competition and unfortunately revelry does bring out the worst in some people.

She should fave consequences for LYING about physical abuse. A card too often played against innocent men and ruin their careers. By that alone her case should be thrown out as unreliable. Bad language and pressure is normal in a competitive environment. And if it wasn't, it still isn't a crime. Amanada is clearly used to being kneeled to and is a drama queen. 'It's like being in the trenches' she said after saying she is not one to ove react. Avoid people like this at all costs

Amanda didn't like negative criticism 😮well if she's doing rehearsals for tv shows etc surely as part of acting get negative criticism. Just being petty is Amanda.

I think, if Giovanni was a bully, we would’ve heard about it sooner, he wouldn’t be able to disguise or have such a good relationship with previous partners. Although Amanda probably did feel the pressure of the schedule, it is unfair to put that blame on Giovanni.
