BlockShow Amsterdam meetup was so amazing!

We opened the event with a fire side chat with Ailin Wang, VP at ChainX, our General Meetup Sponsor, on how blockchain is helping developing countries.

Then there was a very interesting panel discussion with Colin Meulema from bitcone and Toufic El-Rjula from Tykn_tech about the government regulations of the blockchain technology, the status quo on the technology in the Netherlands and how blockchain can help people suffering in the developed countries and how developed countries can benefit from it.

Then we had an amazing presentation from Olivier Rikken, Director Blockchain & Smart Contracts at AXVECO, on how Smart Contracts are not contracts, how current regulators don’t understand what they are really doing, and the future of Smart Contracts from every aspect: from legal to technology. Olivier was rewarded Best Public Speaker 2017 and now I understand why

Then we had 5(!) promising startups fighting for an opportunity to win €50k at our BlockShow conference in Berlin:
IP Shares is all for protection of intellectual property
Outlets chain is a distributed global shopping network
Seal is fighting fake goods using blockchain
Slips is a betting platform for eGaming
Unitalent is enabling the high-skilled freelance community using the blockchain technology

All the startups pitching are amazing and deserved to win, but according to the community voting we will see Seal, blockchain powered product authentication and services platform, in Berlin in May

Thank you, everyone, who contributed to the event, it wouldn’t be that cool without you!

See you in Berlin!
