Currently Inked: October 2023 | Fountain Pen Inks | Diamine, Ferris Wheel Press, Sailor, Pilot, etc

I'm really loving the fountain pen inks I ending up using this past month, especially Sailor Manyo Yamabuki, which is 100% not in my usual wheelhouse. It's just such a lovely, high-shading yellow-orange. Do you have a favorite yellow or orange ink? I'm definitely thinking of trying out some others and would love recommendations. Besides Yamabuki and Ancient Copper, I know I love Pilot Iroshizuku's Yu-yake and Pennonia's Fox Friend, but I don't have much experience outside of those.

Anyway, overall, this felt like a very "fall" collection of shades, and I'm wicked happy with them all.

I love Sailor's Rikyucha as well. Just for your information, the Japanese Kanji means the colour of boiled tea leaves.

I like Diamine Writer's Blood, however I'd advise making sure you've wiped off any excess when filling a light colored pen. I missed a small spot on one of my pens and it stained the acrylic. I've tried soap&water, an ultrasonic cleaner and even bleach and the stain is just not coming off! 😡
