I am self employed & was paying Horizon almost $1200 a month for health care coverage. I could not wait to get on Medicare. I applied as soon as I could for A&B, supplementle & a Plan D.

I just found your channel today. Timing is fantastic. My wife and I are both 64. My wife will be 65 in August. I won't be 65 till January. I work for an employer with nearly 6k employees. My wife doesn't work outside of our home. So, I got a lot of important information here.

Really great information and a wonderful responsive staff (Julia Jones) to answer my immediate questions and concerns. Julia very quickly and easily stepped through my question about staying with my employer's insurance and turns out it would be right for me to delay signing up for Medicare benefits. Very helpful and reassuring to have you in my corner and I will stay in touch through the time when I fully retire and do need to sign up for Medicare. Thank you again and know that I will recommend you to my friends & family as well - very well done!

You are a life saver!! My wife and I are going to be retiring soon. My wife first and then me in about 2 years. My wife is on my health insurance since mine is better and has much less cost involved for very good coverage. We def have questions but will look at your videos and read your book that you offer. It's great to know that you have a business to help us too for those subjects we are not clear about to call you. Can't thank you enough for all this great information. Takes a lot of stress away knowing what to do.

If you work for a company with <20 employees BUT they get the health insurance through a trade group, union, or other association that contains member companies >20 employees, the employer plan is primary and Medicare is secondary. Important to find this out.

I'm assuming that what you said is also valid if I have a Medicare Advantage plan. Is it also correct to assume that there are no earning restrictions for those on a Medicare or Medicare Advantage Plan (I'm paying "out of pocket" for the premiums so I can have Medicare Advantage health coverage) who are working (or considering going back to work in my case), but not "drawing" out from Social Security? Informative video, Thanks.

Nice and very informative video. My question is this. Am working past age 65 and covered under FEHB. Since you have 8 months to sign up for medicare after you stopped working, can you sign up to receive Social Security like say in January and ask that your medicare start in July or August? I intend to keep my FEHB. Your response will be highly appreciated.

Maybe a stupid question, but what do you use for a camera rig? Your videos are enjoyable to watch from the POV of you as the mechanic. And I wish your customer would've just went ahead with the head gaskets.

I own my own business (no employees) but pay through the market place for private healthcare. I turn 65 in August. I can not afford to stop working, can I still get Medicare?

Yeah, my employer's plan cost almost as much as Medicare and Supplement, and had a $5, 000.00 deductible! No brainer. Kept working, but dumped the employer plan for Medicare and a G plan. A little higher, but way more peace of mind.

Would being in a "community" medigap plan in a big pool with a major insurance company be the best way if we live a very, very long time?

This is opposed to a medigap plan related to age?

What if I work for a company with two employees but we have a PEO e.g. TriNet? TriNet told me they are the primary health care payer. When I called Medicare office they told me that I don't need to sign up for part B. This is very confusing and I haven't been able to get a clear answer for months.

With G or N is a prescription plan also needed?

Question, I am a retired federal employee and have federal employee health insurance. Should I sign up for Medicare at 65 and release my federal employee health insurance.

Big employers force hourly employees off group plans and on to Medicare. And trust me, the employer knows exactly when you turn 65. It may be different for salary employees.

I work for a church that is part of a large denomination. I am the financial administrator and am turning 65 early next year. Due to part time employees we sometimes have 19 employees in quarter and sometimes we have 20 or 21 employees. We only have 4 employees on health insurance but the church pays my full premium. So do I keep it or go on medicare? It seems that logically I should stay on the church plan. Any guidance would be appreciated. The video was helpful but did not quite answer the question for my particular situation.
