All babies go to Heaven. When you reach the age of accountability, then you must be a Christian to enter into Heaven.

I agree, what "most people" hold on to is not Scriptural, and yet it's either they have Christ, or they don't. I still shudder when I see people post things about how Heaven needed another "angel" when one of their loved ones die. But, we, as individuals need to insure we have truly made that decision for Christ, and yes, I do believe salvation is instantaneous, a true genuine miracle that takes place in the heart/soul/mind. This is a failure of logic. The statement could be rephrased as If someone never becomes a Christian, then they are going to hell. It didn't say "if someone doesn't wear the name of Christian, they are going to hell", though that is a valid statement, as all Christians will wear the name of Christian. If someone then concluded that someone wearing the name of Christian would automatically avoid hell, they would be committing the logical fallacy known as "denying the antecedent'. If one belongs to Christ, they will wear His name. If one concludes that anyone wearing His name belongs to Him and will therefore avoid hell, they commit the "affirming the consequent" fallacy. Again, though, we are talking about people who ARE Christians, rather than people who claim to be Christians. I really wish people were forced to take a course in logic and pass it before being allowed to graduate high school.
