I still remember her advice from one of her first weeks: Finished is better than perfect

Most artist myself included tend to be their own harshest critics. When ever I reach a stopping point and feel that way I just walk away and look at it later or have some one else look at it.

The phrase that helped me finish more was "Dont let the great be the enemy of the good" for me this meant that if im working on a piece and reworking it isnt making it better in my opinion, go ahead and out it out there, its more than likely good enough that people will enjoy it still. I think we van get lost in the sauce reworking small details we want a specific way when the viewers eont even notice its not quite right.

I think even if you stop, setting it aside to draw smth else helps. Then go back to the one you stopped. Perhaps your mind just fuzzes a little thinking of details.

I think that goes both ways. It does help to motivate you to keep on drawing but, that also means you'll never finish what you started. unless you do finish it (even if it's not up to par with your vision). welp....

"If it's convincing enough then it's convincing enough"
Something I follow till this day. If I'm 80% sure this looks convincing enough then I'll move along

What I found is consider the sketch/first drawing to be a first draft. Not only should you not look for perfectionism, but just laugh if something comes out wrong. Make a mental note to fix it in the second draft and just move on. Granted, this is a whole lot easier when doing digital since you can make another layer and draw over it. But you can do it on physical mediums as well. Sometimes the mistakes even end up in the final piece. "Something something happy accidents."

Totally random question, but when was the last time we saw 2D Ina in her debut outfit. I know we've seen Smol Ina and 3D Ina in her debut outfit recently, but i genuinely can't remember the last time we saw the long hair and gown.
