First Steps in Eurorack / Modular Synth / Let's talk #eurorack

I'm building my first eurorack synthesizer. I started in modular using VCV rack and this are my experiences going from software to hardware. I never owned a hardware or analog synth before. These are my first steps into the modular world, how I got inspired, and what I did to find modules using modulargrid. Listen to some of the jams I made, reading manuals, finding ways to use different modules, and thoughts on starting with a bigger case than what you need.
I plan to go into more detail in future videos on the modules I bought and patches so stay tuned for that!

Some awesome artists mentioned in the video (IG accounts):

So many cables! The Jams are so interesting, very different one to each other. I like the title aesthetic ♥️

For a beginner your selection of first modules is amazingly sensible. Beautiful case to.
Three things I think you will benefit from is mults, a mixer, an attenuator and an input and maybe an output module. The input for amplifying external gear so that you can easily play around with those with your Morphagen live, and the output for sending signals to external gear, like pedals or whatever for so to send them back again. Mults, mixers and attenuators can be comparably cheap if you buy passive modules. I have an attenuator like this unmounted that function as parmesan topping on my cable sallad.
For any other beginner reading this, once you have played around with VCV rack and decided to get into the hardware thing, consider a semi modular as you get loads of functions for the price. Also DIY modules if you are a bit handy and don't forget the cheaper modules from Doepfer and Dreadbox. Finally, the secondhand market is big.

Super colorful and visually pleasant video! I really learned a lot, it's so interesting all the different sounds or types of music you can create using the same modules differently. It reminds me of a brain and it connections! Also the box is dope, love the red! Great video.

Did you buy your Sequins directly from the UK or is there a website in Europe you got it from? I want to avoid import duty from the uk...

What an excellent, entertaining and informative video. Thank you! How much did you spend so far? The 9000€ seen in the video?

I would love to try, but even with all the fanzy modular videos on YouTube there is nobody who talks about how to achieve those kind of huge money it all cost.
