last year I was really busy and all my tomatoes had bloosom end rot. This year I used gypsum and lime, dynamite fertilizer and miracle grow for tomatoes and they are way better than my neighbor who think they know everything. Gypsum is the key. It is cheap also. I use it on my avocadoes also.

Use some rock dust, glacial dust like Azomite so the trace minerals will help prevent plants from getting blossom end rot. Sometimes mulch will suck up nutrients from the plant. A thick layer of compost to substitute for mulching works better. Wood chips is great for mulch in conjunction with compost.

I prune my tomatoes when there about a foot tall and already established. I fertilized in a trench because corn roots grow down and left to right. This year though I scattered it on the whole row so it doesnt have to be in a trench.I mulch after I prune and there is enough room around the plant to hold the mulch and the leaves not be touching the ground.

Thank you so much for taking your time to answer my questions. It was very helpful... I will have to use this next year. I planted in June this year and need to fertilize the tomatoes, beans, cucumbers, and peppers. I have fertilizer but am unsure where to put it and how much? Thank you again I will be watching more...

sorry thought this was the corn video. I planted in a trench on my peppers cause I had them planted so close to one another just made it easier

We are new at veggies and herbs. I have a very small garden. When do you prune tomatoe and pepper plants? Why do you fertilize in a trench? When do you mulch? TFS Kris

theres alot and i mean alot of organic methods for insecticides you just have to find the one that will work on the type of bus you have.Miht even have to make up a couple diff. kinds but if you want a commercial brand then seven dust is the best.
