I think its good that you test the vehicles before the update and after the update, because then you can show "hey look this update really made a big difference, and here is how"

Amazing how these cars are getting better in real time thanks to these updates and feedback from haters 😂

Tommy slams the front into a rock then says watch out for that bush! LOL!

Great video. I'm glad you did both videos with and without the update to show how much it improved. Alex did a stellar job with the camera work. He's A horrible spotter but a hell of a camera man lol.

The cut to Tommy blowing the Defender tire cracks me up every time 😂

Kudos to whoever is responsible for that epically cinematic sand scene! Music was on point

Cybertruck and the red rock/dirt looks like it’s on Mars!!!

Hey, you can bring your 110 V compressor and air up, drive your impact wrench, nail together your overnight shelter, whatever.

Could never hate ya Tommy. Thanks for doing a revisit after the update. You guys are covering this thing in an objective manner and that is especially challenging with how polarizing this it is.

17:00 seems like you'd want the rear steer enabled on sand because it lets you wiggle all four tires if you start to get stuck to "bit" into the sand out to the side and pull you forward. Normally people just do this with front tires but you have the rear tire movement. -- same for mud or snow I'd think.

2:05 you could run a 110v or 220v air compressor to fill the tires

Keep using it like a truck — fun to watch. I hope you’re kidding about Dad worrying about scratches on bumpers from going off road.

AMAZING! You get tires for most of your rigs (eg Ram 2500) - get them for the CT - Tsportlime has smaller wheels to get more rubber for rock crawling and off roading - also allows less pressure and smoother ride.
Once Tesla or someone else offers off road bumpers - get them. You did for the 2500…
You should try to work with Tsportline - they have some amazing stuff for the CyberTruck!!!

Time to throw a better wheel/tire package on it.

EVs and off-road are like peanut butter and jelly. Instant and linear torque, low center of gravity, silence, multi motors, no clutches and transmission shifting. Crawling on low speeds doesn’t consume a lot of energy. And downhill recuperation returns what you wasted when climbing. Then you can camp in your vehicle in “camp mode” keeping desired temperature like in capsule hotel, without running an engine.

I think it's good that you tested the Cybertruck offroad before the updates. It's interesting to see the difference that an over the air update can make.

It’s pretty cool to see the before and after results of the offroad performance update. It’s crazy that that much capability can be gained from an over the air update.

"well we're using it! Do apologize to my dad though"

😂. You are a good young man. Your dad should be proud you were his first thought.

@1:10 you said if it were a Jeep Gladiator ect you wouldn’t have to do any disassembly before hitting the trail but Jeep say in their manuals and have done since about 2006 to remove the side steps or running boards before going off road further Jeep also says to remove the bumper end caps too so far more disassembly required (as recommended by Jeep) before going off road than a Cybertruck.

Great video going through the off-road settings! I’m definitely not a fan boy, but the departure angle on any truck is going to be the Achilles heel. Any Raptor I’ve used would have dragged the rear there, but that isn’t what they were targeting when they built it, and I feel like this isn’t what they were targeting when they made this. But it is still impressive it went through it all, just don’t run out of electrons!
