Electronics sitting up on the shelf with wires hanging right next to the bathtub. Oh my God, my OCD is acting up.

There is no way I could tolerate a cold plunge. Anything colder than 75 degrees & I am dressed like someone in Alaska in the dead of winter. Heat is fine for me. You two are awesone.❤❤

Hi my dears. Good job Stevie, glad you are getting some health benefits from it. Oh Steph, you are the most beautiful ice queen I've ever seen. I can take the cold too. Husband gets so mad at me in winter when I turn down the thermostat 😊 God bless you both.🙏 💖from me to you.🇨🇦

I didn't know you could ground on gravel. But yes, you get benefits from that as well! My pedicurist is well aware of my grounding by how much she scrubs!
(Sorry about this topic today, but just thought about it.)

Have you ever heard of the polar bear plunge. In Minnesota, they break up the ice on a lake, and then people in swimsuits plunge in and out. That water is right at 32F. For me, it's not my idea of a fun time! But you two should try it sometime and film it for us! 😃🥶🥶😅

Other can get the mood alerting effect by, after shower is complete, move the water temp to as good as one can stand; closed the pores and closed the hair cuticle. This from a former Licensed Register Cosmetologist, (RC). I would strongly recommend this to clients at the end of their shampoo & conditioner. So, a mini plunge! With some it truly changes their mood 😁, others would say it was very invigorating. TY for sharing😁

Does make sense that it would feel ex tra cold when you go in after a workout Steph, plus how interesting to hear what your body experienced after 30, 60 mins. Having that adipose, brown fat activated is awesome though~ nearly impossible to that level, other than from cold plunge is my understanding.
I have a question, do you notice as much of an after effect, mood wise, as you thought you would? Is it similar to how you feel after a good workout maybe?
I seem to remember from back when I was in the icy cold river every day, I would have kind of a high, then I'd get almost sleepy. I was also barefoot or in thin leather mocasins that whole time, even in winter, so unbeknownst at the time, I was also grounding. Likely a combination effect. I also recall feeling kind of depressed for a long time after we moved back into town, into a regular house, after 6-9 mo's in the woods. Had no idea why at the time, but now I do. Thx for sharing guys~ Sammy

Cold water settles in the bottom, you get in and displace/ stir up, the cold to where the thermometer is it reads colder.

Oh my gosh - you two are a trip. It's crazy how different your bodies react to the cold water. Steven has less body fat and more muscle, and Steph might be carrying a different body composition. It's so cute watching you two react to each other. Hang in there. Wonder when this will become old to you guys?

Hi,
I heard on podcast that if you put your face in the cold water it helps calm you down. Less fight or flight response. It makes the cold plunge easier.

Honestly, I don’t know how you are doing this. Question 🙋🏼‍♀️ Have you tried looking up circulation in cold water or hot water ? When I am cold 🥶 I don’t feel like I have any circulation. I don’t even do the plunge. I just thought about that I am going to look it up. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💜
When you are cold, blood vessels narrow in your skin and fingers and toes, so that less heat is lost. But this narrowing (called 'vasoconstriction') creates more pressure in the rest of the circulation, meaning the heart has to work harder to pump blood around the body, increasing heart rate and blood pressure. This is from Vascular systems from google.
