This was way better than that. It’s important to learn this stuff. Knowing where your tongue should be with every vowel is crucial to making the right sound.

I learned this years ago, but forgot what I learned. This is a great and much needed refresher! Takes all the guess work out! Thank you!

Tip to newbies here, what you think might be you altering the inside of your throat, by maybe feeling you can sing (like i did) inwards, upwards, downwards etc, i thought until a few days ago i changed something inside my throatz but it was just the tongue root. By feeling i was singing in a certain direction, that was really me manipulating the root of the tongue, blocking the sound, i have now landed on singing upwards and slightly outwards😂 this makes me sound the best, tho some vowels don't work, so maybe i will sing downwards on some vowels haha.. i need to figure out a way to just relaxe everything in a good position, but yeah.. if you feel you can sing in many different ways, and they all sound slightly different, it might just be your tongue :)
I am trying to learn from youtube and have for many years.. can't afford lessons, and can't sing in my apartment, so everything is taking alot longer than it maybe it should, and i really suck at speaking too.. i strangle my vowels with my tongue making me have alot of vocal fry. But realising this all stems from my tongue position would of saved me years of struggeling🙃

I really love this topic and would appreciate if you could do another video. I have so many questions that I feel like require greater detail. I think close up visuals could really help and showing us exactly what the curvature of the tongue should look like on each separate position. How hard should I apply pressure w/ my tongue behind my lower teeth. How flat should my tongue be? How can I control my tongue better? For example I keep attempting to flatten it but feel I have little control over how flat it goes. My tongue is should and naturally rises easy w/ each vowel😢
