ABOUT RHOP:
Just up the river from our nation's capital lies a hidden gem - Potomac, Maryland. Its rolling hills, gated mansions, sophisticated prep schools, and exclusive country clubs all serve to keep the area invitation-only. Sprinkled throughout this community are a handful of old-line, wealthy African-American families who have historically broken racial barriers to provide the best life possible for their children. "The Real Housewives of Potomac" follows the upscale lives of six intriguing, well-to-do women: Gizelle Bryant, Katie Rost, Karen Huger, Charrisse Jackson-Jordan, Robyn Dixon, and Ashley Darby, all of whom have fought for their places in this society by way of legacy or marriage. In a town where entry is granted only through class, pedigree, and lineage, how far will these ladies go to secure their spot at the top of this prestigious circle?

What the? How’d Giselle somehow spin her lateness to being _Katie’s_ fault instead of her own fault that she’s late???

The light ones are mad bcuz they have to constantly prove that they’re black while Katie is just living in it and doesn’t need to explain herself.

Katie is a dream: uber-gorgeous, eloquent, intelligent and so open-minded and progressive.

I'm going to need Giselle to STOP using negative racial stereotypes about Black people to validate her Blackness. Blackness is EXCELLENCE not being late. How careless and disrespectful can she be? I can't take her seriously.

Mixed isn't Black it's BIRACIAL I'm on Katie side because that's how confusion started and that's why black is misrepresented because of the stupid one drop rule!

Why is Robyn staring at her like that when she walked through the door.

The one who looks the most white is actually claiming to be black 🤦🏾‍♀️ and wants to biracial to choose a side, when she is clearly a mixture of things. Choosing one side would be dishonest. That’s that light skinned guilt

Katie: It's amazing for my friends to get to see such a really special moment.

*quickly changes outfit then continues*
Katie: I'm such a proud mama.

0:43 What is Giselle talking about? She herself does not look black AT ALL, so why is she using phenotype as the basis if you are black or not? Giselle looks racially ambiguous (almost full white woman like Robyn) she needs to take her own advice and leave Katie biracial heritage alone.

Katie is truly gorgeous, she should have gone further in her modeling

I love Katie and for how aware she is, claiming her entire heritage. Gizelle and Robin are trying hard to prove their blackness because they are ascribing to the damn one drop rule. They look like white women lol. But anyway, they are BIRACIAL not rral black women smh.

I like that it seems they'll discuss race on here, especially since people don't think they "look black." People have to realize we come in all shades and sizes

I'm PROUDLY Black and I am always on time, if not EARLY.

So, anyone buying into that ignorance is just unworthy of the complexion.

So Gizelle makes a generalization stating that black people are always late. That's sooo ignorant. Plus Gizelle is sooo proud of being a 100% black, haven't she looked carefully at her hom? Her mom is clearly biracial, more on the white side. So girl embrace yourself✌
