I use to have that original book "Fantastic beasts..." from 2001, which i bought maybe around 15 years ago in my school's book day market, i was soo happy about it, just reading it and imagining all the monsters, it was soo cool, true magic indeed. Today after soo many things happened, i dont know where it is, i fear i might have lost it, which makes me very sad, even more after watching the new Fantastic beasts Crimes of Grindelwald, oh well. Take care of yours, was good to at least see another one (:

Thank you so much for the comparison! I lost my original copy and when I purchased a new digital version todaay I was surprised to see the Ilvermorny creatures and the mention of MACUSA. I couldn't remember if there had ever been a named reference to the Macusa in the original but now I know it's just been updated because of the movie. Thanks again!

Thanks for the comparison. I have the original Bloomsbury edition, but I might get the illustrated edition that's due in November.

Also, I think Pukwudgies are missing because they're classed as 'beings', like house elves & goblins.
