I once made that mistake with a smaller pan on the BBQ... Get burned once and learn, but this is a real good one for when the oven mitts are far away!
Little known fact: the seemingly useless hook on the SAK is actually meant to hook string on paper/cardboard packages meant for recycling.

I've carried a Swiss Army knife ever since that TV show aired, about this guy who can take his swiss army knife, some bubble gum and a wooden match to disarm a nuclear bomb.
