There's something genuinely sad and scary about Mineta being in denial, considering his sadness is usually over the top crying and yelling

The fact that she not only gets killed offscreen but gets killed by a mob of villains when she’s at her weakest shows how fucked up her characters end was

One of the best/real parts of this arc imo is how the students reacted to everything. As powerful as they are, they’re all still kids and have never seen the horrors of war

So there are now kids who aren’t even old enough to drive just found the corpse of their teacher, these kids are traumatized and are never gonna get over it

When kids are forced to face such a horrific and cruel reality, it really hits hard emotionally

The most unsettling part for me was always who killed her. This mob of villains is essentially all normal people. Sure, they're villains, but not in the same way the rest of the League was. They aren't super criminals with ambitions to destroy everything the world stands for or to take over all that is, they're basically just everyday people who were radicalized to such an extent that they'd maul a hero to death without a second thought. It scared me more than the big bad leaders of these groups because they were so far away from the drastic situations of the League of Villains, yet they showed no less cruelty to this complete stranger than the villains were.

I don't know if it makes sense, but that always made it hit harder for me than most of the moments in MHA.

Seeing Midnight’s lifeless body just laying there Is haunting. Everyone else was with a group of people but she died alone in the woods.

me personally I don't think the author nerfed Midnight, because when you think about it, things like that can happen in an instant. She literally got hit by a rock and fell so many feet, so no wonder she got super weakened for a bunch of little villains to kill her. It makes sense, and that's the whole tragedy of a reality like war. I like how it puts into perspective how they're all still human.

Plus, Midnight isn't really a combat fighter like All Might or Aizawa, so I would say that her body itself isn't as resilient to large rocks or fall damage (which most people aren't anyway).

the most fucked up part about this is that mina was the first one to say midnight will be ok, and she was the first one to find her body

Can we also give props to the VAs here too? Justin, Caitlin, Colleen, Chris, Dawn, and Brina really nailed the pure feel of emotions here

It’s Kirishima’s voice that makes me cry. He’s always so upbeat and happy but this just shows that he’s at one of his lowest points.

This is the reality of being a hero. Civilians, villains, even heroes are not immune to violence and death.

She died a heroes death. Now the kids know an important lesson. A heroes life isn't always sunshine and rainbows. You can't always save everybody.

I appreciate that it was done this way. A supporting character but a statistic in a war. Just another innocent life lost all thanks to Shigaraki's hatred and obsession.

She lived a warrior, and died a hero.

You know, I was glad that they had a mineta in the scene but that wasn’t the kind of reaction I was expecting because I was expecting a part where, after overhearing how they said midnight doesn’t have a pulse and that she is dead made mineta so shocked and so sad they thought he could check their knowing if it’s not true, but one of his classmates Holds him back and tells him; no man this isn’t how you want to remember midnight and mineta keep saying please it’s not true tell me it’s not true. As he keeps moving desperately, I kind of thought maybe yaorozu comes in tag her classmates shoulder knowing that she’ll take care of this and she did by kneeling down and hugging mineta from his sad depression, saying that she’s sorry, and that she wasn’t the only person that he looked up to. What can I say I just thought maybe there could’ve been an emotional scene for mineta and one of his friends will be there to comfort him🍇
