Thailand's JDM Disneyland Built Inside a Mini Mall and a 1600HP GT-R | Capturing Car Culture

Larry Chen visits what can only be described as an automotive Disneyland built by a Thai construction mogul named Heng. Heng took a mini mall and meticulously decorated and curated a world-class collection of cars and memorabilia. The collection includes JDM icons like Supras, Datsuns, and GT-Rs. One GT-R is an Alpha X, a 1600HP soon-to-be 1800HP R35 that is probably the most built-out GT-R in Thailand.

Heng’s Garage isn’t just a garage, even though it’s really his garage at his house, it’s more like a personal automotive and memorabilia museum. I’ve been here 15+ times and every time I go it blows my mind.

The most important thing I can see is Heng seems like such a down to earth guy, with respect and class, and not an arrogant, rich car collector. Truly one of a kind gentleman.

Not only is Heng’s garage a magnificent collection, but Heng himself is a true gentleman. I’ve been fortunate enough to have been to his garage several times. However, what’s always impressed me is how hospitable the man is. Every car event that I have seen him at here in Thailand, he always greets me warmly and he’s just the nicest guy.
