I premake my horses grain everyday but I keep the buckets in a closed metal can so rodents can’t get to it. Never leave grain out

Ground work is essential in horses, I got a new horse at the end of November, she was used in Mexican rodeos, she was afraid of almost everything u can think of.
She is almost ready to ride, weather has played a factor in all of it.
Desensitizing is so essential Lady would learn to trust Sofia even more.
Today I was bouncing a huge ball off my horse it was sitting on her back at times.

Laura, I have a suggestion if you want it. Ryan Rose is a YouTuber. He has a channel on YouTube and he does a lot of lessons and he has videos that you can go on on teaching your horse. I've watched him for a while. I really think he's a very gentle and kind person and extremely smart if that would help you and Sophie at all with your riding journey You also mentioned that Sophie has her life planned out, but you didn't say what the plans were. If you don't mind sharing, curious to see what your girls are going to do after school or what their dreams and hopes are

Maybe you need to be more realistic with Sophie, she hasn't improved all that much in riding after all this time, getting in better shape will do a lot to help her with riding, it's an athletic sport.
Only having people that tell you what you want to hear and not the truth do not help you improve.
