I totally wasn't prepared for how beautiful this film is, I saw it when it came out in a cinema in Kilkenny Ireland, mostly empty. I had recently lost my Mum and I had not log became a dad to a beautiful daughter. After this film I went home sat in her room and cried buckets. It showed me how quick time passes, feels like only yesterday i was in my own 'Boyhood'. ..full days of out on our bikes, long summer days and lingerie sections of catalogues. Now childhood is but a memory, Mum n Dad are gone and i get to relive it through the daughter and son, just hope theirs is as precious yet slower than my own...

Everyone's complaining about a lack of a story. The title is called Boyhood. It's just the growth of an American family seen through the eyes of a boy. If you can't relate to ANYTHING in the movie, then I guess you would hate this film. Either that or you're so addicted to the Hollywood formula to the point where anything else bores you to tears.

i think the idea was brilliant and extremely unique. you see the entire cast grow up together literally, because it took them 12 years to shoot the entire movie. i think that's credible enough to give it a shot and not talk down on it. especially if you have not even seen it yet.

I really love this film it shows how dedicated everyone was to be apart of something for 12 years that's a huge risk anything could have happened. Wonderful movie 👍

The main actor - the boy - lives across the street from me.  Some of the shots were taken on my street.  Weird fact.

this movie was incredible. People can say what they want about it because everyone is in titled to their opinions and i know for things to be loved people have to hate it too, but you can not say the making of this film wasn't extraordinary because 12 years of :)

It's a WONDERFUL movie! i think EVERYONE can relate to most of the events that happen in the film, and that's what makes it so Unique!
12 years to make this movie! wow! Trailer, doesnt do it justice..If you want action, this is not for you, if you want a fairytale hollywood story, youre not getting it here either..this goes beyond what our eyes see. It makes us reminisce and really think about life.

This movie is so amazing! It's shows the truth about young people of this generation growing up and I love that. It's truly inspirational.

this is a great movie with deep philosophical ideas that is motivating and captivating. Showing activities, struggles, and thoughts that some adolescents really do struggle with or don't even realize their potential due to the fact of their hardships. Watching different kids interact with each other throughout this movie is fascinating because they do not know their own insecurities, but there are some moments where kids know right from wrong. over all a life changing movie

Saw this film and saw the director after the movie in Q&A session. I felt as if the movie had been 30 minute long. Time just flew and many people in the theatre  didn't want the movie to end. Great movie!
