A church here in Las Vegas does something very special one day a year. They call it the great day of giving. It's a day you give of yourself to do physical work for someone in need. You can also donate supplies, and big and small jobs are done for people in need. The first year I did it, I was with a group of people and we painted the homeless shelter inside and out with donated paint, just to give you and example. Another company tore out a crumbling driveway and put a new one in for a poor senior citizen who lived on S/S. My daughter who was a single mom struggling with three kids had some big repairs done to her house, all the way to putting up a new patio cover, to painting the house. I was very humbled to hear she had been chosen to be helped. Later I was to learn it was one of Robert Kennedy's daughters who paid for all the supplies, and did not want to be identified. She even sent a catering truck to feed the many people working on my daughters house for lunch that day and pitched in to making food plates and passing them out. We never knew who she was until long after it was done. Like most she did not want to be identified, but some one told. Someone told the secret, but did not idintify which daughter or how she ended helping for the great day of giving, I have no idea.  What I will say is it was not a Catholic Church that does this, yet she was involved. It seemed helping was not down to what religion a person was who needed help. I will always wonder which of Robert and Ethels daughter's it was. It sure changed my opinion of that family. I wish I could have even thanked her for what she did for my daughter. My daughter and many others were all very grateful for the kind things done for their needs, and will always think of all the kind people who gave of themselves No one who gives for that day wants to be patted on the back for it. The work, money and materials needed are a gift sent from god, so no one wants to be thanked. It's not why they do it. I hope you enjoyed my story. I wanted to tell it because there are some real good Kennedy kids.

There’s a great podcast about Ethel - how she was mentally ill and unable to be a parent to all those kids. The housekeepers raised them and when they were older, they ran wild and did drugs, alcohol and were totally out of control. Jackie Kennedy did not want her kids around those cousins, for they were so wild.

These kids were out of control most of the time! They had no structure or discipline. While they did do things, they should not be hailed as the best children in the world, nor the best family in the world. Ethel was a brute to her children all the time. So sad!

Edward Kennedy is the son of Senator Ted Kennedy, not RFK . Ted Kennedy was RFK's brother.

In my opinion, RFK legacy has had a much more profound legacy compared to his other the siblings. JFK was the face of the Kennedy Dynasty, but RFK was the heart and soul of the family.

RFK was forced into the role of family leader consoler after JFK was assassinated. Ted Kennedy was the last one to be the leader of the Kennedy clan. So many deaths and lives of pain ..the few who made a positive impact are a credit to the family.

David had mental illness and used drugs to self medicate he died of an infection of the lining of the heart in 84.
