Can second this, its incredible.
And it doesn't lag me up at all for all the incredible improvements that are made. I could finally tell it was Sydney. Sydney houses tend to have this red coloured shale roof tile that comes from nearby (not all of them obviously) and this is more the case now than with default scenery.
Bondi Junction is there, Chatswood is there, St Leonards, Parramatta, Olympic Park, the SCG and the SFS. Centennial Park was alright before but I think it is better now.
If I'm nitpicking, John Whitton rail bridge on the Parramatta river is missing. I was a little disappointed with the lack of detail at Bondi beach, given its iconic status. They could fill in more of the yachts and boats and piers around the residential areas of the harbour. There were a couple of other missing things I noticed that I've since forgotten.
Overall an excellent way to spend AUD20.
I resisted the OrbX Central software for so long waiting for it to come out in the store. I got impatient. I also noticed all the other OrbX products are a couple of bucks more on the store and Central really was a breeze to use. It can even store its stuff outside the Flight Sim folder and symlink it in so that hopefully I don't have to redownload it every time a patch install wipes fails and wipes me out entirely (twice so far) and I have to reinstall everything from scratch...

Can say this is incredibly accurate as I’ve been to Sydney irl I hope they add Melbourne Australia with ORBX as well that would be cool having 2 of Australia’s biggest city’s

It seems ok I fly in Europe mostly. Not happy about PC performance (stutter lag) over large cities so avoid them all . Maybe once MSFS has been optimised more or I get a PC that can cope more easily then it will be amazing

Looks great at night good during the day.
Could see spending thousands on FS2020 to get all the dlc.

I purchased it when it came out. I’m a Sydneysider and for $20AUD, it’s not too bad. The only disappointing thing I had was with the cliffs at the harbour entrance are really bad, I would really hope ORBX could fix it.

the empty space in 4:37 is an empty space in real life. they were thinking of making a tech park there but idk what's happening tbh.

Just a couple of things I'd like to clear up Studd...

1. While Sydney is indeed NOT Australia's capital; it is Australia's largest city. 2. While Sydney contains quite a few Queen Anne/Federation/Art's and Craft style houses/buildings from the late 19th/early 20th century, most of it's post WWII architecture is so 'American' influenced as to be indistinguishable from what's become known as "Mac-Mansions", so your "Australian buildings looking Australian; not American" is a bit misleading given most new Sydney suburbs/houses are indistinguishable from their Californian counterparts - down to the baseball caps and baggie dacks!!! It's just indicative of how Australia has been torn between two masters - prior to WWII; Britain and the 'Empire', and post WWII, America.

Prior to purchasing the ORBX Sydney scenery pack, I had installed a couple of the Freeware Sydney scenery packs but found them wanting in a couple of crucial areas - such as no Fort Denison/St. Mary's Cathedral/Town Hall-St Andrew's/Central Station/Queen Victoria Building/Conservatorium of Music... to name just a few of the most obvious omissions - and the performance hit they induced brought my high powered Ryzen 7 system to it's knees!!

I agree that the ORBX Sydney scenery pack is excellent value, given it's a more comprehensive - in terms of area and buildings covered; enhancement for the City/Harbour and environs of the modern incarnation of Australia's first European settlement.

Sure; it's not perfect, but as an Aussie who grew up in the southern suburbs of Sydney, it's the best, most reasonably priced; considering the level of accurate detail, despite what "the nit pickers" might find to whine about that it doesn't have, add on for a very recently released flight sim that pushes the boundaries of digitally depicted reality that I've seen so far!!

Sure; as one comment here mentions, the cliffs at Nth/Sth heads (and the ferry terminal/Seaworld/promenade etc. at Manly could be more 'true to life'... a whinge I could have about the topography of the Megalong and Jamison Valleys as well as the Three Sisters at Katoomba, but given how long it's taken for a flight sim of this level of 'immersion' that replicates the real world on this scale to finally arrive - I'm not going to go out of my way to demonstrate any of the personality traits that make the younger generation/s seem like coddled and spoilt little snowflakes in the eyes of those who've lived long enough to appreciate how quickly some of this stuff has taken when compared to other technological developments!!!

With that perspective in mind; I'd like to thank ORBX for putting in the effort they have on providing this addition to a Flight Sim that I've been waiting patiently for to appear on the scene; for a relatively miniscule and obscure to those living elsewhere on this planet region of the place I call home!!! Many thanks!!

And thanks Pilot Studd for your review! Perhaps; one day - once this whole global pandemic thing is beaten and travel returns to pre-pandemic levels; you'll be able to head Down Under to compare the veracity of the digital version with the actuality of the joint!!!

If I buy this scenery for Sydney then would I get updated versions of it in the future from Orbx or is it a one time buy and have to buy the updated version again?

Great overall scenery, but I did notice some floating buildings. I hope that gets fixed in a future patch.

I'm not sure why I should have to pay for the harbour bridge and centerpoint tower.. wonder if this will delay osobo from updating Sydney.

I have still expected that all cities will be completed by 3D photogrammetry rather than handcrafted graphic, because more realistic. I wish MSFS will provide Australia update as like as Japan. Please obey the rule of aviation, we are on sim not a game. Please keep in safety altitude from building.

I will wait until it comes to the ingame flightsim store. Cant be bothered with installing the orbx central software.

Those two main stadiums at the end of your video are demolished now. They are being rebuilt. You didnt show us the Olympic area which has larger and far more dramatic stadiums. The entire olympic area was missing in the original release of MSFS. But to be fair, it's only 20 years since the Olympics were held. Frankly i think Sydney as originally released in MSFS was a barely mediocre job.
