Here are all my tips for girlies thinking about starting epilating.

Now, before we start, i'm gonna say it a lot but this is my own personal expirience. Everyone handles pain differently and different epilators are just..different.

What even is an epilator?
- An epilator is like a really really fast tweezer that plucks your hair to the roots. (Dw, it doesn't hurt as much as if you would use an actual tweezer) while it IS painful, it's much more effective and longer lasting than other options, and is really great if you have very thick hair and nothing can control it. It's a easy to use tool that is either cordless or the other. It doesn't take extremely long, it depends on the area/areas you use it on tho.

What epilator to buy?
- First of all, invest into a high quality epilator. Trust me girl, it's worth the money. One thing I can reccomend is the Braun SE7 epilator. There is SE8 and SE8 too but the SE7 is affordable and gets the job done as painless as possible. If you can handle pain if it gets the hairs out much faster, I reccomend other Braun products. It's up to you what you choose tho, just do your research. Here is what picking a very cheap epilator results to:
- Very painful
- Some of them don't even get the hairs out.
- Doesn't work for a lot of time.
Here is what a bit more pricy epilator gets you: (50 $+, and please note this is my own personal expirience. Different brands are different.)
- Lights to see what you're doing.
- Cordless and long battery time. I'm saying you can epilate for 60 minutes and it's still up.
- Massager. ALWAYS get these if you don't want to go through hell and back epilating. They make the pain atleast 50% better and easier to handle. If you're a pro you won't even feel a thing with these on, and feel like you're in a spa. (ONLY pros. Most people can still feel pain, especially if you have long hairs.)
- Fast work. Pricier epilators have bigger heads that get the job done faster.
- Higher quality. These will last much much longer than cheap epilators.

Pros of epilation:
Now, why should you consider epilating and why should you choose it over other methods? (for some people, girls, choose the option that best suits you)
- Your hair takes A LOT, I mean A LOT of time to grow back.
- It makes your skin soft af.
- Prevents ingrown hairs.
- It's easy to do, no need to pay professionals to do it for you because you actually can't really f this up. You can't accidentally cvt yourself with it either.
- Because of how easy it is to do it yourself, you can do it anytime. It's easier to remove hair while travelling or having an emergency. (Yes, I know shaving w a razor does the same but you can accidentally cvt yourself, it lasts a shorter period of time, and not everyone's skin/hair reacts positively to it.)
- My personal expirience, but it was less painful using a pricier epilator than getting my legs, arms and etc proffessionally waxed. Please note that if you have thicker hair it might hurt more tho.

Tips if you start epilating:
- For less pain, take a bath before that and maybe exfoliate. You can skip one of these or both of these ofc, but these reduce pain.
- Look where the hairs are facing. Shave from the back of the hairs.
- Spread talcum powder or baby powder on the area you're going to shave before using the epilator. It makes your job easier.
- Epilate at night after a warm bath, because you usually get red spots left behind after the hairs you pluck. Don't panic girly these are normal, you're pulling your hair from the roots. These will be gone in the morning don't worry.
- Massage some mousturising body gel or cream on the arra you Epilate. It helps it heal and gets rid of the pain you might feel after. If it's painful after applying it, dw, that's normal. But if the pain is really extreme or it hurts more than 1 minute, that's not normal. (If the pain doesn't go away after 1 min but it's veryyyy mild, that's still normal.)

I definitely need this in my life as a woman that shaves daily to maintain smooth skin with PCOS and monthly Brazilian waxing. I'm sold on trying something different.

I bought it, tried using but my fear took over me so kept it for a year or two unused.. later gifted it to my sister who uses it frequently and now got used to it. So thinking of buying it again 😅

I always use epilators. I’ve never tried a different method, from the start I used epilators. So, I have no idea if it actually is way better to shave, but I was told that if you do it that way and it doesn’t hurt, it’s just going to grow really quickly, whereas using epilators is better because your hair grows back after 2-3 weeks. Even though it hurts really badly, I’m just going to use the epilators because I’m not signing up to remove my hair daily or too often, I have much better things to do. But if you don’t want to feel so much pain, don’t wait for lots of hair to grow until you remove your hair, maybe remove it again after a week that helped me because I used the epilators again after a month and it hurt really bad. I’m not saying epilators is the best and I don’t really know any other benefits but yeh every time I use it I literally scream.

I have the same epilator, I love it! It does so well on my dark and thick leg hair, but I’m such a baby lol I can only make it up to my knee and I’ll chicken out 😂

I’ve shaved, waxed, naired, and epilated and out of them all I’d take an epilator any day. Maybe it’s because I went from waxing to an epilator but the waxing hurt more. Epilating is a breeze compared to that and it’s so much faster.
