How To Cut Mosaic Tile, The Easy Way

Unlike ceramic & porcelain tiles, stone mosaics do not cut nice on a manual tile cutter, so cutting them on a wet saw is needed.

Cutting Mosaic sheet mounted tile on a wet saw can be challenging because the tiles a so small that they can tilt into the gap on the saw tray. This video shows you how to cut mosaic tile on a wet saw, without it falling through the openings of your saw tray. This method works for all types of mosaic tile, cermaic, porcelain, stone, or glass.

Yes, 1/4 inch Hardy. I just take a piece the size of the Mosaic and cut it down the middle. Lay the mosaic on that. With glass, I use blue painter's tape on both sides and cut the lines on the tape on the Hardy board. That also keeps the chips together. Thanks for the post.

Cutting the same tile and it keeps breaking off, what kind of blade are you using, I’m looking at blades and there is a mosaic/glass blade or one that cuts porcelain/ ceramic and wondering which one will work better for getting the best and cleanest cuts
