Maglev Trains #shorts #technology

Maglev trains are redefining the future of transportation with their state-of-the-art technology! Unlike traditional trains, which rely on wheels and tracks, these innovative high-speed trains use powerful magnetic levitation to hover above the rails, completely eliminating friction. This groundbreaking design allows them to achieve incredible speeds of up to 600 km/h while ensuring a smoother, quieter, and more energy-efficient ride. With their potential to revolutionize long-distance travel, reduce congestion, and cut down on emissions, Maglev trains are paving the way for a faster, greener, and more advanced transportation system.

I learned about these kinds of trains while doing my physics degree and it's one of the coolest technologies we got today.

for those who are wondering, MagLev works by using a magnetic repulsion to lift and stabilize objects, this removes almost all friction and enabling a smooth, motion.

Edit I was a bit vague,
For the Japanese Bullet Trains have specially designed track with magnetic coils that interact with onboard magnets to lift the train, while linear motors and sensors handle propulsion and stabilization.

TL;DR: Maglev = Positive Magnets+ Negative Magnets which push each other.

Edit3: Thanks for all you clarifying that it doesn't remove all friction! I wrote it kind of fast and didn't catch myself! 😆

The first clip with the ring of magnets on the tables requires them to be cooled to [edit] -200C, resulting in an effect known as quantum locking. The second clip of the train is just straight up floating on magnets. Not the same phenomena, but cool all the same. P.S look up Wipeout Quantum Locking to see a really cool vid of Japanese scientists racing mini wipeout figures around a 3D track

"Where's the flying cars? You said they will be here this year!"

"We don't have flying cars, but we have flying trains!"

Edit : OMG 2.2K LIKES?! TYSM!!

To the people saying "infinite energy" magnets can run out of magnetic energy after a certain amount of time and need to be recharged

For those who don't know, at the first clip, the magnets all are negatively charged, and they require to be cooled to absolute zero, resulting in quantum locking. The circle he threw is an another magnet, that was negatively charged for 3/4, and 1/4 was positive charged, so it attracts to the magnets but doesn't connect with them.

"...so we got floating trains before flying cars?"

Actually the word maglev trajn was taken for the work 'MAGLEV' was taken by 'MAGNETIC' and 'LEVITATION
the took Mag from Magnetic and lev form Livitation

Isn’t that how rail guns theoretically work?

Imagine they are already inventing floating cars from magnets

for the reason they don't do this everywhere is because of two reasons
1 : it will be very expensive and its only sometimes that trains exceed 100 mph
2 : it will be very dangerous as time goes by because the magnetic field will weaken up as time goes by
thanks for reading all of this

The train hated the thick of it so much that it launched of a rocket
