Girne or Kyrenia is one of the major cities located on the northern shores of the Cyprus Island. The city is particularly famous for its resorts and beaches and of course casinos. Kyrenia castle walls were originally built by Byzantines 7th century, (Grecian) and then added to by the Venetians to keep out the (Arabs and Ottomans) its definitely not Turkish history. 🎉

It's vital to remember that the north side is still under illegal occupation by Turkey, an occupation that has persisted since 1974. The only internationally recognized state in Cyprus is the Republic of Cyprus, and the global community universally recognizes that its north part is under illegal occupation. To exploit such a situation for views and clicks without addressing the grave political and humanitarian issues at play is not just negligent but morally bankrupt. Shame on you for profiting off the suffering of others while perpetuating ignorance about a deeply troubling situation.

North Cyprus has more charm and history than the south side. The Greeks let their monuments deteriorate and the Turks are just as ambitious as the Italians and cherish their monuments.
