What tourists and visitors to Dublin think of Ireland

Ireland saw record levels of international visitors coming to Ireland in 2016 with 8.8 million coming to its shores.

We asked visitors to Dublin what they think of Ireland and the Irish people.

That's one thing I like about Dublin, that we have a small city. I went to Vancouver in 2018 and get a similar feel. I've never been to a really big city (well except Nice though that wouldn't have many skyscrapers either, just a bit larger in area) but it's nice having a small, humble one.

The Irish are self doubting always looking for praise .
The British are confident and couldn’t care what people think.
I experienced this even North of the border amongst Unionist and Republicans .
