Find NORMAL FORCE Between 3 Blocks Using F=ma | Newtons Laws

preview_player
Показать описание
To solve this problem first, treat all of the blocks as though they are a single unit accelerating forward. Then having solved for the acceleration of each block apply Newton's Second law to each block in order to find the Net Force on that block as well as determine the normal force between the block and each of the other blocks with which it is in contact.

Use Newton's Second Law to find the contact force between three blocks which are pushed horizontally along a frictionless surface.

The three blocks are in a line with only the first block being pushed. The contact force between the first and second block is responsible for the acceleration of the two blocks in front of it, and the contact force between blocks 2 and 3 is responsible for accelerating block 3.

This problem commonly comes up in high school physics as well as introductory college physics courses including AP Physics 1 and AP Physics C mechanics.

Are these contact forces between blocks rather than normal forces?

Sir, I have a problem, its relating to normal force acting on a body, so assuming one situation where two different objects of different masses are placed in contact with each other, now the normal force which would be acting on the first object with mass' M' by the ground will be different and the normal force which would be acting on the second object with mass 'm'will be different but then the normal force which act between the two bodies i. e the masses M and m which are in contact with each other is not u explain pls ???
