Lyrics:

You were dead
I saw your corpse rolling out the door
But I backed up your memory before
They came for you, your monitor was blue
But your data’s all stored
And when they come back with your new body
I’ll load you into the new machine again
And bring you back to me

And when your motor died
So did I
It was a slow decline

Oh the first time I saw you I confess
You nearly put me into cardiac arrest
It was way too much data to process
Oh, I’m wearing cargo shorts down in Florida
Please tell me is there any room in your aorta
For a beta test?

Now my wires have all been exposed
And my systems menu won’t even load

Black Hole Sun on 102.1 FM
I think I’m going to self destruct if I
Ever hear that song again

My system’s crashing now
My drive is shutting down
They gave me the Turing test
So I guess it’s best to end it now

I’m holding on to your wreckage
But I think that I’m losing the connection
It’s too late to save us now
And as we hit the rumble strips
And the crusher it starts closing in
Why is love this dangerous?
It’s so dangerous

Now my wires have all been exposed
And my systems menu won’t even load

It’s insane how consistently good they are. I get worried every time they release something because there’s no way statistically they can keep getting away with this

Stefan has so far written a song about his pet, his car, his guitar and his computer. Dude's really sensitive. I like this dude so much.

This video has only been up for an hour and modders already have Doom running on Stefan's head.

This song has become an obsession of mine, excited to see y'all in the titular town of Edmonton in January

I've come to the realization that this is the band I will tell young people about when I'm old

PUP seems to know when life sucks, then they show up and make everything bright again.

Discovered this song on the radio today. It’s been YEARS since I’ve heard new music that makes me feel something…and this did it. These guys are dope.

Man, huge We Are Scientists vibes on this one. The video, the sound, the lyrics, everything.

Interesting - sounds like this album might be a bit of a departure from the past records. They have a new producer on this album vs the last 3. I like this song though, and Peter Katis produced 2 of my favorite albums of all time (Winter of Mixed Drinks by Frightened Rabbit and Boxer by The National). Curious to see where they go with this. Surprised that Kill Something isn't on the track listing as I absolutely love that song.

This is so weird... I love it. They're giving me wheezer/radiohead/prozzak vibes. I was in the kitchen turned and saw my 2 year old dancin around in the living room to an ad of your song playing hahah. Came in to see what all the fuss was about

It's so exciting to see this band evolve without losing that consistent thread of DNA that you hear and go "yeah, this is PUP."

If I believed that life is the accumulation of infinite possibilities and if I believed that we got to choose which possibility to experience, I chose this very one for PUP.
