For the parallelogram question you can find the perpendicular height by splitting the parallelogram into 2 triangles and a square and use trigonometry to find the perpendicular height


Sin(72)= x/12 12sin(72)=x 11.4=x 16x11.4=182.6

Great video. On Q 13 I'd have solved both eqns simultaneously - 3x = -1 therefore x = -1/3

you can find 11.4cm by doing trig SOH of the left triangle
