i used deepin quite some time ago and always was fascinated with it - but due to the translation problems and minimal documentation (and new state back then) switched back to something western.

glad it's doing well and still gets attention.

So….if I’m getting this all Deeping Linglong right….distrobox approach to flatpaks? The idea is not that bad overall….however, I wonder what’s gonna happen with network-stack reliant apps like VPN clients for instance…I’d like to dig it a bit more….great video btw….

Deepin is the 'go-to luxury' type of a distro that's comparable to a customized Windows system. But for me, Zorin OS still the favorite to my heart since it is easy for a Windows user to migrate. On second thought, I have an used computer store that's nearby. Maybe I pickup one of the used school system and install Deepin? Hmmm....

Nah, if that's their reasoning for not using Flatpak, I'm calling bs. Disk space is not really a problem with deduplication, and I don't know what issues they're talking about, but from an user perspective, Flatpak evolved a lot over the years and it works beautifully.
This reminds me of Ubuntu Mir.

With beta 3 they introduced new wayland implementation which is very experimental. You need to install dcc-insider-plugin to force treeland DM though it insta crashes on my nvidia gpu
