I used to live my whole life in the darkness. I used to mock Jesus and all of His followers when I was still an atheist. I used to believe that I didn't need anyone in my life. I tore my Bible years ago because I hated the idea of God so much. I can't believe that this was me before – a person who never had the chance to know who God really is until I found Him. I am so happy I found Jesus now. I never turned back ever again when I found Him in that same place. His grace cured me and His love saved me from myself so truly I tell you, God can heal anyone. 😊

My father was never at home. He was an alcoholic . He was never home. My mum was a single mum trying to raise 5 children by herself. At home my sisters and I never had a father figure to help our mother protect us. When I first heard this song I realised that my mother never really need my biological dad. My mother always went to church and had faith in the one true father. The lyrics "In my fathers house, there's a place for me, I'm a child of God, yes I am." really hit home for me. The Lord is my father. He was there to help guide my mother through the tough times we had growing up. Whether it was not enough food or no shelter for protection. I love you God, and I thank you so much for everything you've done for me and my family.

I'm crying so much... the past few years I have almost gone homeless multiple times. I was almost murdered by one of my friends with an axe. And now I'm living with another friend who's family has made rumors about me being crazy because my mom is mentally ill.... I constantly feel trapped like theres nowhere for me to go. And no where is home. Even while paying rend and helping with Bill's. I am unwelcome.... but this song.... this song hits me so hard. That even while all of this happened. Nearly homeless durring the pandemic. He has a place for me. Where I am welcomed. And loved. I love god so much. I'm still so blessed. He loves me so much..

I am 13 years old and I just raised my hand in worship for the first time. I was in my youth group and we were singing this song. God has been asking me to raise my hand in worship for a few months now, but I was always too shy to do it, I thought people would stare but when I did, ni one really noticed, which was a relief for me. On Wednesday when I had youth group we were singing this song, and God was asking me to please raise my hand, I didn't want to but at the same time I did. So I said in my head "make me, " and he did. I was looking around the auditorium while singing this song because I have ADHD, and I saw someone on their phone, during the worship. That really upset me and my singing started to fade until I was quiet. I stared at the feet on a girl in the worship team, and then God said "It's time, my child." I started singing again and slowly raised my hand, and started singing passionately.

My parents separated when I was just 9, my sisters and I had to rely on our immediate relatives for safety at that age. I feared staying in our house coz it was a bit far, my relatives would chase us out of their house abruptly and it was always sad for me, I dreaded those moments and used to cry a lot whenever we would be thrown out.
