I ordered a DB25-d the first week of December from RO. It got lost in the Christmas rush. It arrived a few days ago. It was somebody elses return. Had a German Code plug in it. It didnt transmit at all. I am bugged as I travel a LOT and wanted to do the GPS/APRS thing. I'll just have to live vicariously through your videos until a replacement arrives. Good video!

I was leaving my A-side on 144.39 all the time never realizing I didn't need too lol. Thanks brother I learned something today! Really interested in a video/findings for AIOC or better to say use it with Direwolf/Pinpoint etc. This rig would be sweet as a portable digipeater/Igate.

@4:45 able to connect a Bluetooth keyboard? Since I can find a DMR mobile with APRS+GPS that has a remote head, I was looking at this to install in my JL Jeep 2024, but Can find a place to mount this. I have mini trunk space where I can go to Home Depot and install a crossbeam to mount a body of a radio...I also have one of those Android radios with a big screen built into the dash

I had the Retevis version of this radio. The size factor and its capability really appealed to me and I really liked it. Unfortunately over time it started to have power draw issues to the point I regretfully had to toss it in the garbage. I agree about the CPS, it is typical for these radios.

If you want to stop Windows from asking if your sure you want to install just open the start menu and type "user account control" look for the app "user account control" and click it to open. Once it's open move the slider all the way down and then click "ok" or "save" (cannot remember how it's labeled). You will see the user account control pop-up window appear. Click yes make changes and it will be the last time that annoying pop-up window will appear. Now your free to make changes or install programs without user account control popping up and being annoying.

Program P4 for VFO, P5 for Menu, P6 for Back and P7 for Power - trust me - Menu becomes OK wen needed.

I _think_ I was able to set APRS frequency by entering 144.390000 (I forget how many 0's) then pushing the dial for OK.
