The Australian's Sophie Elsworth says the footage of a tennis fan being criticised by Australian tennis star Nick Kyrgios “went viral”.

Ms Elsworth said legal barrister Matthew Collins noted the tennis fan may have a “comfortable win” in the UK courts, as she is suing Nick Kyrgios.

“She was singled out by Nick Kyrgios” she told Sky News Australia.

“The footage went viral.”

I’d love to actually see what she did to provoke him, We are only seeing his meltdown, not her behaviour

This may sound controversial to those in denial, perhaps, but our civilisation is in a state of decline.

The player didn’t broadcast this. It was the media companies. So sue them.

So of course it's his fault she can't conduct herself like a self-respecting adult in public 🙄

Hold up a minute. The player didn’t “name” her and he also was speaking directly to the official, not the media. If anyone should be guilty of defamation it should be the media for promoting the clip for clicks and views.
That being said, someone of her “status”
should have been able to act appropriately and not heckle the player - unless of course she WAS inebriated. If so, she just got her feelings hurt that the whole sports world saw her acting like a fool. Actions Have Consequences!

Another example of a narcissist not facing accountability for thier actions seems to be the rule not the exception these days

The tennis player NEVER said her name, he merely informed the commentator who it was. It was the television station that captured who she was. Any player distracted has the right to have a disturbance removed. Therefore, she should have kept her big mouth shut!!!!
It’s her own fault - she was trying to get attention, she brought this on herself.
Tennis player should counter sue for harassment.

This is outrageous behavior by a drunk attorney and the player get sued?! He should counter sue her for damages. If this happens it will turn tennis matches around the world into a big joke.

There was a time when silence was the norm at Wimbledon.

Another case of someone not taking responsibility for their actions. The fact that she has a case is what's more worrying

The fact that she has a case just shows how lost we are

He said it to the umpire, she went after more attention by doing interviews after which were all her choice. A british court would see straight through her.

B.S. he was talking to the ref. The player wasn't the one who sent his words around the world. He deserves respect while he's doing his job.

Wait just a minute. There's no way she can sue him for defamation for what he said to the judge at the time of the match, right? That's not even meant to be televised, and is simply him protesting a factor of the match! It's not his fault the camera was there! He was simply pointing out a distraction to the judge, and asking that it be remedied! There's no way she prevails on this!

Show us video of how she was acting up before she was called a drunk

And the heart of the matter - why he protested her continued attendance - is pushed to the wayside and never addressed. It has weight.

Tennis is a game where fan etiquette is required just like golf.
You don't yell out something at Tiger Woods while he is attempting a 30 foot putt.
Silence is required during serves, ohues and awhs during volleys and applause at the end of a volley are unacceptable.
But loud comments and talking directly to an on court player during a match are not acceptable.

So technically the media is just as responsible, Nick's not the one that asked her to be filmed and forecast.
