Anderson Zaca, Block Party, and 35mm Contact Sheets | BK Stories

Anderson Zaca is a Brooklyn-based documentary photographer from Brazil. His book, "Block Party Soul of Summer," is a photo essay that captures moments from block parties throughout all of NYC's boroughs over the past nine years.

Happy Lucky No.1 gallery in Crown Heights featured Anderson's work in an exhibition entitled "Block Party," the purpose of which was to document the joyful moments of the communities, rather than to show the horrific and dramatic moments depicted in the media as of late.
