If he bought it at the official event, then there should be no doubt to its authenticity.

This man's clearly never seen a funko pop before. Funko has always had quality control issues, even on limited releases

It was probably real, pops are never 100% perfect especially on a older one, rip Stan and happy birthday to him

If this guy was an expert on Funko Pops, he’d know that imperfections are basically a sign of authenticity.

As a collector, I can tell you right now that this is 100% legit! Pawn stars better get a better Toy appraiser 😬

I think the pop is real. Funko's are horrible at quality control. Every single one I've ever seen has had paint issues and scratches from new.

The toy "expert" doesn't know what he's talking about. Plenty of limited edition POPs have paint imperfections on them. This one was 100% legit! Both the POP and signature. I hope the guy held onto it. That exact same POP just sold for $12k on ebay 2 months ago.

Defects and imperfections are basically the calling card for Funko Pops

Worked heavily with Funko for a few years (sold over 1000 a month). It’s rare to see a Funko WITHOUT minor defects like this, even on rare or exclusive ones.

This 'expert' has no idea what he's talking about, every funko had imperfections

The Funko is real! I hope the seller search for a second opinion and didn't end up throwing it away.

Lol my experience with funko pops is that they're full of imperfections from glue mistakes to paints mistakes. Weird

Quality control is not the strenght of funko stuff. You can say they should have rised the quality, yes but you cant guarantee they did.

I highly doubt this was faked. Even on limited edition funko pops their quality control isnt amazing. I have a golden stan lee that is worth a pretty significant amount (not like this one, but definitely a few hundred dollars) and even that has paint smudges and I got it verified.

RIP Stan. This piece of memorabilia is really priceless and will stay that way in some‘s hearts.

How can a signature be real but the piece is not? If the signature is real I'd assume it will be directly from comic-con itself where Stan Lee rip signed it.
