I have that very same tugboat (uv) and I love it. I like it because Im not doing any tricks. Im just a cruiser. Hop a few curbs, some slides but thats it. Im 50yrs old in Ausgust (😆most cant tell) and I mostly ride a electric cruiser now (Wowgo 3X). I got this board because I have big feet 😜 so it more comfortable for me to ride when Im in the mood to kick-push. Yeah, Im getting old but Im not dead yet so I'll ride till I die.✌🏿

I love the agility and the ease of turning in these guys. I've got a tugboat and it's so fun to ride. The major downside is the speed; I have trouble catching up with casual longboards on the street, but other than that it's pretty nice

Definitely looking forward to your future review about the Arbor Oso you mentioned at the end of this video and would love to see how it compares to the Tugboat! Those are the two I’m choosing between at the moment and I got so excited when you said you had an Oso on the way.

The arbor oso is pronounced "oh-so".
Oso means "bear" in Spanish.

I would love to see a review of the Shape 9. It's a cool alternative that's between the Dingy and the Tugboat with a slightly wider base (8.5") than the Dinghy (8"). It uses the same truck and wheel setup as the Dinghy so it's easy to transfer out decks without issue.

I got the midnight snek version of this board and loved it. I ended up putting a waterborne adapter and it works really, reallly well. Great video!

I also have a UV Bengal, threw a Waterborne set on it and absolutely love the feel. No experience with other surfskate setups, but the Waterborne is pretty adjustable in terms of how loose or tight you want it to be. Zero complaints with the setup, and as usual great vid!!

I second putting carver trucks on it - or! I switched the front truck off my LY pocket knife (the shorter of their surf skates) and it’s now my go to get around board. So so fun with those trucks on it!

Thinking about getting this as my first cruiser as a new rider. Thanks for the video.

Shred shack is that kind of channel that you want to post more often and/or in more longer durations

Thanks for the video!
I have a few questions if you don't mind.
Did the angled riser do much to change the ride characteristics compared to the Dinghy? If so, how?
Can you explain why you chose the Tugboat over the Dugout to compare to the Dinghy? The Dugout uses Chubby, 130mm trucks (both perhaps more similar to the Dinghy), but a wider board and angled riser.

Great review! What's the difference in the Flippy deck specs? Also, if you do put bigger wheels on this will you need to add bigger risers, or will the existing ones cope? Thanks!

Been trying to learn to skateboard on a 7.75 popsicle deck and it's been highly recommended I go bigger. Since I'm not interested in learning any tricks any time soon nd am mainly interested in cruising, I've been eyeing cruisers, and this one in particular. It SOUNDS like this might be a good board for someone just starting out.
