How could you get Lucky Charms without singing "they're magically delicious!" in an Irish accent....oh, right...

Sometimes, shopping at Walmart is like having a nightmare on purpose. We go anyway.

You paying on the names of stuff is so much more wholesome than me. I used to work at a supermarket and the Pepsi vendor and I would challenge each other to see who could do the raunchiest innuendo possible. "I've been thinking I need a12 pack of Dr. Pecker" "I'd put 7up you" that kind of stuff. You're far more wholesome.

Love how you're singing the "Sandman" tune.

as a Canadian I feel cheat, your video was an eye opener as the Walmart's in Canada don't have selection that they in the Us. I hope you have and Chewie have a good weekend

Crocks are earthenware vessels, frequently use to store butter. Slow cookers are often called "crock pots."
Walmart gets a lot of flak, usually from snobs who buy $15 coffee at Starbuck's. I shop at the local Kroger, as it's literally down the street. When I still had a car there's a Walmart and a Meijer's only a few miles away. My favorite was Biggs before they closed down.

Hi Diane! I used to work for walmart, very near its global headquarters in northern Arkansas, many years ago when these big super centers were just becoming "a thing". Boy do I have some stories... These stores did not always have a grocery section. Nowadays, I buy most of my groceries there. Those ginormous cans are for use in cafeterias, big family parties, etc. Even small restaurants will buy stuff from walmart in those huge cans and jars. And yeah, keeping them in your "end of the world bunker" works too, ha ha. 🙂 Thank you for the video, and give Chewie a treat for me!

What I appreciated about this video is, I was able to write up my shopping list as I saw you cruise past everything I need. Thank you Diane. You are actually more helpful then you’ll ever know. 😮❤

Funny thing about those big cereal boxes. They started getting bigger several years ago, to the point where some no longer fit in the shelves where I usually keep my cereal. But I noticed as they began to change to them, I had some cereals of the same brands with the same content weight on my shelves as the content weight as the bigger boxes that wouldn't fit on the shelves! I also noticed that some of the boxes with the same amount of cereal had become wider and taller, but much thinner, which of course made them look much bigger on the shelves.

I'm a Walmart mom! My daughter has been working at a smaller Walmart "neighborhood market" for about six months now and she loves her job. The smaller market stores are just regular grocery shops without the clothes/homewares/etc. that you see in the big store. They do have a lot of workers with "special accommodations" as they put it. At least a dozen of her co-workers are autistic and there are a quite a few elderly workers. They treat her well as an autistic employee but they also recognize that autistic people can have razor sharp focus and it does help that the government gives them money to "train" people who need accommodations. They only go so far though. If you can't keep up they'll find a reason to fire let you go or cut your hours so much you quit. My daughter likes the work but honestly from my perspective workers are treated like crap by the company. One of her co-workers who has been there for years was just fired a few weeks ago because she took too long for bereavement when her dad died and she had to travel to see him. How can you fire someone for that? A company that's so big they forget their workers are humans. I have seen a lot of stories like this about Walmart but when my daughter started working there it really hit home how terribly they're treated both by the company and many of the customers who think every Walmart worker is their personal shopper.

Yes anyone can use the "mobility carts". It's against the law to even ask customers if they're disabled. So yeah a lot of times you'll see teens testing them out. They do have plenty though so if someone usually needs one they're available. Since they go so slow most people who could walk would decide it's not worth the effort. You can just lean on your trolley I MEAN CART! :)

They will never, ever accept Apple Pay because they have their own program, Walmart Pay. You use it just like Apple Pay but you go through the Walmart app. Also a lot of merchants in the US refuse to allow Apple Pay. Maybe they charge companies more for their service. I have no idea but I know it's rare to find a retail or grocery store that accepts it.

Thanks for the video Diane! We have Walmart's in Canada as well, but although they are ginormous, they tend to be much smaller than ones found in the US. Product sizes look to be much larger in the US Walmart's as well! As an aside, we had Target locations in Canada for about 15 minutes (a very slight exaggeration) until they fled back to the US a few years ago.

Diane finally fully digested the mountain of Lucky Charms from the 8lbs of cereal video, time to refill 😂

I would love to see a Target walk through. I live in middle Tennessee and I have 5 super Walmart stores and 3 Walmart Neighborhood Markets (Mostly Grocery Stores) within 20 minutes of my house. I have no idea why they're so weird about their checkout systems. It's like they're about a decade behind on stuff. I'm really annoyed by the receipt checking as well. I only shop there when I know I can't get what I need elsewhere... which is pretty rare. I think I go to Walmart about once every other month.

I remember seeing several weird things walking through Walmart after midnight when they still were open 24/7. Not so anymore after c-19.

I can't help but love this girl. I'm first generation over here on this side of the pond. My family says many things that she does. Funny, my first job was Walmart lol. The other companies working inside the store are called vendors. Convenient one stop shopping is their angle. Man I love your reactions. As more of my family leaves for the big sleep, you remind me very much of my family. And I need that a bit because I married a Russian lol!!!

The seasonal aisles are very fun to shop on. the best are Christmas, Halloween, Valentines Day, Easter, Summer Time(usually for BBQ and swimming gear), 4th of July.

Diane went to Walmart, where everything is gigantic
But she knew what to expect, so she didn’t panic
She didn’t buy any fruit and nothing organic
But she got some cool earrings to bring back across the Atlantic
I guess you forgot to wear the earrings for the talking part
Or maybe you didn’t actually buy them, a change of heart?
