Recently discovered archive footage, stories from family, friends and admirers, performances from Damien Dempsy, Radie Peat [Lankum], Lisa O'Neill and many more, form the narrative of this deeply insightful investigation. Pulling focus on a legendary character that Ireland almost forgot, were it not for the vast footprint his songs and lyrics have left behind in the consciousness of the Irish diaspora. I owe you so many pints Myles. You introduced to me to the new generation of Irish music. And it's a lifetime. Just so many nights listening to Radie Peat or Daoiri Farrell, Eoghan Ó Ceannabháin. Lisa O'Neil or Ye Vagabonds. The list goes on. I'm not Irish but my Welsh Dad used to play me traditional Irish music. Luke Kelly and the Chieftains and so on since I can remember taking my first steps. Musically I've always felt a bit isolated lol. But now I'm an old goat I'm so grateful to both my Dad and also you Myles. You have brought me so much joy, not just from the tunes mind. The videos are world class mate.
