The term processed food is fairly vague since cooking is a form of processing. I have not seen any of the Vegan doctors who are up on the nutrition science literature, Greger, Fuhrman and McDougall. But I do know that Dr McDougall considers soy protein isolate a bad processed food. Certainly Seitan is processed food made by extracting one component of the whole wheat berry.

Not sure what outselling slaughter beef means in this context. At my local Vons here in San Diego Two Beyond Burger patties cost US$5. Or $10 per pound. Slaughter beef is around $3.64. Still it sells out oh it’s small area in the meat case. Today it was empty so I grabbed a meat department guy who restocked the shelves. Turns out he is a fan. This weekday is our Memorial Day when cookouts are the norm. The check out clerk asked it I was grilling this weekend as he packed my purchase. No rabbit food of Vegan weakling stigma here. Really uncool it is not available in Canada yet.
