2021 Jaguar F-Pace SVR Owner Review

So just to add some things. The brakes are good (i'm sure they would fade on a track) but they are noisy and are prone to issues. From everything i've learned it is a brake pad compound issue which Jaguar knows... but whether they feel it is worth the cost to correct or not remains to be scene.

Nobody will mistake this car for being a Lexus, the ride is stiffer than most people would be accustomed to. I wouldn't call it harsh, but it isn't supple either.

The transmission is great, but I will say even in comfort mode the programming can be interesting. It holds gears and wants to accelerate pretty quickly even in comfort. Owning it I've learned to manage the throttle so not a problem, but there are times when I will actually use eco for a more mellow driving experience.

Once again where I live, I throw a rock and will hit 5 BMW M cars, with 7 AMGs behind; and 14 Macan's at the grocery store. I like this car because it also flies under the radar a bit. Granted it is very very blue (ultra blue might be the most accurate color name invented).

Thank you, its so funny that this is the least production quality YET best and most informative video of this vehicle on the web. Love love this car. Any updates on reliability?

I think the car is epic, has everything you can possibly want and for better looks than german counterparts better price, better optioned, no fancy air suspension that can break.
And if you bought it from 2 3 years ago with low mileage you get a masterpiece.

I too ordered the car with summer P-ZEROS: highly recommended! All seasons are no seasons. Pirelli Scorpions are now mounted for Tahoe snow use. The car is amazing!

I’m waiting for my svr, just got in before the tech crunch with a week 51 build date. I chose every option incl svo paint - the rear seat release levers in trunk are optional. Also the rear seats in regular f pace recline, hence the trunk trim cutouts. I’ve had the AJV8 in my F-Type R since new in 16, when I needed a dad wagon for the newborn, there was no other option, that engine in a sea of neutered opf turbo v8’s and hybrids/ev’s needs to be enjoyed while it’s still around. Enjoy mate

Thanks for the feedback. I have owned over 50 cars over the years including many German and British ones. I am currently driving a Tesla which has been great over the past 3 years, but when I bought mine they were fairly rare where I live here in Canada, but now they are EVERYWHERE. I feel that I am driving a Widget and as a car guy, I don't like that. I am considering the F-Pace as my next car. I will probably go for the P400 as the premium gas prices here are now pushing $8 CDN per gallon. Looking forward to getting back into a luxury ride.

Hi, thanks for the review. Do you still have the Jag? How is she reliability-wise now that you’ve had her for more time.

Hello there.

That Button on the steering wheel that changes source is configurable.

You can change the function from a good 8-10 functions. I personally keep it at "play/pause"

I have a 2019 SVR. Agree about the seat, I start to fidget after a couple of hours. I have proper buttons on the steering wheel, those new ones look bad. I have the red leather seats and trim, I think it looks really great, way better than your grey non-leather ones. The supercharged engine sets it above the six cylinder and twin turbo V8 competitors, sounds way better, and has instant throttle response. As you say, every drive creates a smile. I love it.

Great and very helpful review! Made me purchase PS4Ss before it was delivered and switched out the all-seasons after a week. They transformed the car with better steering, better handling, better ride and better braking compared with the all-seasons. Thanks for the tip!!

When you spec the car yourself you can select reclining seats and rear-seat release levers, they’re actually really cheap too so not sure why they aren’t standard. I’m guessing you bought this pre-built… the dealer didn’t tick all the boxes you maybe would have.

Sorry - I’m partly wrong, the power recline isn’t available, but the release levers are. You have the gap behind the seats since recline is available on the standard car. My guess is the race-style seats means that some of the side or shoulder bolsters might rub and burn the motor out… style over substance maybe?

Great review! Is it actually quieter than pre-2021 models because I've watched lots of videos and it seems to sound exactly the same as, say, a 2019 or 2020 model

Do you still own the SVR and if so how is it working out for you? I am looking for a new toy and wanted to see how they handle over time.

You can buy a exhaust pipe, that will cut out the valves for the svr models so it is loud all the time.Urban Automotive in England fit them also Quick silver make an exhaust upgrade.I think Janspeed make an exhaust too

It's beautiful. Did you shop the Rover SVR? I own the Range Rover Sport SC, 510HP. I feel about it as you feel about the Jag.

How are the twenty two inch wheels? I love the 22’s but worried about the ride quality

Seat flattening latch is an option, you/your dealer did not specify them.
