Focus should be more on TRADITIONAL track and field. Basketball, tennis have a whole eco-system outside of the Olympics. So does women's soccer (the main senior national teams are competing).

As echoed by other commenters, this list would be more interesting if the athletes highlighted became famous, and therefore rich, because of their Olympic success, not because of their professional league earnings. The Usain Bolts, Simone Biles, Michael Phelps and Michelle Kwans of the world.

nba players are the most overpaid people in the whole universe, they're making more than doctors and firefighters who save lives, and there are average, average players who get like 20 points a game or somethin making more than Aaron judge, or bryce harper, or Ronald acuna, or Raffy devers, you know all the best players in baseball
