Bryan Kohberger’s defense team is challenging evidence used to charge him with the murders of four University of Idaho college students. Investigators used genetic genealogy to link Kohberger to the brutal stabbings using DNA from a knife sheath found at the crime scene. Kohberger’s attorneys claim the genealogical testing is flawed and unreliable. The Law&Crime Network’s Angenette Levy breaks down the latest development in the Idaho four murders case with famed Philadelphia defense attorney Fred Perri.

Why WOULDN'T the defense get it? What happened to the right to face your accuser? You should not be allowed to claim something in court while keeping the evidence from the defense

Why wouldn’t they be allowed to get the info they are asking for. Isn’t he innocent until THEY prove him guilty. It’s her job to be able to defend him weather we like it or not. It’s the law. All of our constitutional rights. This is how guilty people walk and how innocent people get locked up… smh 🤦🏼‍♀️

I had a long career in the courts and never once was I aware of any judge allowing that kind of evidence to be protected in a murder case.

Genetic genealogy is a proven tool used in many many cases. Let the defense have it.

They had THREE male DNA at the scene that were unknown.
They were looking for a 2011 - 2013, which his is not.

They need to turn over the evidence not only because the prosection is using the dna as evidence but there was 3 other unknown dna that was found at the scene that also needs to ge investigated as suspect.

If he's guilty. Show the documentation. What are they so afraid of? They're wasting tax dollars. It's absolutely ridiculous. 😡

As a casual observer in this particular case - it appears that the prosecution has gone out of their way to throw up stumbling blocks. They seem to be trying to force their way through like a steam roller while they walk all over the defense. It looks pretty shady

It's weird thst the state is making it weird... If everything is on the up and up, give them everything... What are you scared of?

I’m honestly baffled that they never found any of the victims dna in his car, especially since there should be a ton of it after killing 4 people up close with a knife. They also never Found bloody clothes, no bloody shoes, or the knife used but they did find a knife sheath at the crime scene with a spec of his dna on it? Like I’m puzzled by this

why would they not hand it over? if you have a slam dunk dna geneology case then what are you afraid of?

While I’ve only listened quickly & just once… IMO, so far (in this episode) this is the first I’ve heard a well known crime news/network come across unbiased, in the Brian Kohberger case. This seems extremely rare. Thank you!

FBI: “ we created STR w touch DNA, it matches Kohberger 100%, aka OCTILLION!! "
KB team: “ Oh.does it? let me see your work"
FBI: “ Ops.. we deleted EVERYTHING... just trust me bro”
