At the time of marineford Shanks was relative to the strongest pirate, this wb had every superior stats to the wb who fought Akainu, Wb was able to matches Shanks speed, being able to clash equally with shanks and using Conquerors Haki it was pretty obivous when the sky split due to their haki blooms.
