Sad, I told him I would never love again and he was happy. Then after a year of verbal abuse I demanded a divorce. He said "Do you have someone new?" I said no, but, I would eventually. 5 months later he took his life leaving a note saying I would always be his wife. He could have lived to love another, I did. Your song was with me before him and after him. It will always save me. Thank you...❤ 🎶🙋‍♀️

I feel so lucky that I have seen my Engelbert three times... Twice in Las Vegas in the 80's and once with my husband in the 90's at Pechanga casino all three so memorable! But the third concert I was the envy of all the ladies when he tossed his scarf into the audience, a monogrammed one husband caught it for me. It sits in my living room as a reminder of all the memories your music has given us!! Bless your beautiful heart that you are still sharing your voice with the world!! We love you!!

The wonderful classic “Release Me” I just love this song so much!!As Engelbert would say “I can’t believe this song is 57 years old” (I was 17th in 1969 when I first heard this song for the first time)
