I grew up in the area and lived about a mile outside of Zoar.
All of my siblings worked at the hotel in the 70's, , the stories are all so true! From what I remember, the hotel was the first building to try to make money in the settlement. It failed a dozen times over. It's been bought and sold over and over. The tourist attraction there is huge so it should have been a massive $ maker. It's always been said it was cursed. To this day.
They used to do ghost tours through there, not sure anymore but the entire village is a true treat to visit.

I love Zoar! In the early 90's I was at the Inn on The River cleaning up after a catering job. I did not know the history until I left but I felt uncomfortable every minute I was in that building. This was a great video!

Absolutely loved the story. It chilled my bones because there's a ring of familiarity to it - my own experiences. I appreciate your time and efforts doing these videos and you present them so compellingly well.
